Introducing the Aeroclub Farkashegy
Dear visitors
Welcome to the website of Aeroclub Farkashegy, one of Hungary’s oldest gliding clubs. Our group was founded in 1942 under the name “Weiss Manfréd Aeroclub” and has a history rich in sports achievements. Currently we have around 100 club members and a fleet of 12 sailplanes, including two-seater trainers and single-seat performance gliders.
Our base airfield is Farkashegy, located in the direct vicinity of Budapest. We are happy to welcome visitors arriving by plane or on the ground and to organize sight-seeing or other flights. Winch start and aerotow is available every weekend from early spring until late fall, while weekday and off-season flights are also available upon prior agreement. Short-term hangaring and outdoor parking of visitors’ airplanes is also possible.
